There’s simply nothing like running a successful event.

If you have the responsibility to book a key entertainer for your company’s next big event, I know that this is not your first rodeo.

It’s a complex process that’s probably taken you many years to acquire the skills required to make it a successful event.

And there is absolutely nothing like getting a call or note from the CEO telling you what a great event you orchestrated.

My career is based on playing a significant role in helping you get those types of calls and notes.

Whether it’s the parody songs I create or the way I weave your message into comedy entertainment or my ability to get everyone to stand up and sing along together, I know how to engage a room full of people.

I’ve been doing it successfully for most of my adult life.

But don’t just take my word for it. Take a look at what others in your position have to say about me:

“We had an absolute ball with your guys at our party! Since we have used you before we knew what we were getting and the second time was just as great as the first! My boss said he thinks this was the best Christmas party that we have ever thrown! I hope that we can work together again in the future!”

“As for the evening entertainment, I heard nothing but positive comments on you performance.  Your talent was an exceptional fit to our audience (age, gender and culture) and the conference social event. It is a true pleasure being involved with something that makes others happy and you accomplished that in more ways than one. Thank you for your service to the IAFPD 72nd Annual conference.”

Hopefully, I’ll be able to add your testimonial to my list of references.

A phone call is the best way to get that process started.

Please give me a call at your convenience. You can reach me at 773-527-7417.

I look forward to talking to you!

How to take it from entertainment to a total experience.

The lights dimmed. The crowd quieted down. And as the spotlight hits me onstage, 700+ people in the audience at Navy Pier waited for me to begin.

The rest, as they say, was history.

Make that excellent history.

Make that decibel-busting laughter, applause, singing and clapping history for everyone who was in attendance at that particular show.

As an entertainer, I couldn’t have asked for more. It’s as if everything I strived for in my career came to a head that evening.

Was the client happy? If I’m telling the story, do you even have to ask?

(The answer was an unequivocal “yes.”)

The key was my being able to put everyone at ease, so they were engaged. They were leaning in from the very beginning, enjoying themselves in ways they never expected.

So it wasn’t just entertainment, it became an experience for the audience.

How did I do it?

Experience.

The kind of experience that ten years of improv at Second City gives you. You learn a lot on how to engage an audience using improv.

It teaches you how to read the audience’s responses. You hear what they laugh at, you see their reactions and you play off their energy and build on it.

But a memorable event doesn’t start when the lights dim. It starts in the planning.

I’d like to tell you more about building a memorable event, and the best way I know is to talk to you about it.

Why not give me a call at your convenience, at 773-527-7417.

I promise that it’ll be time well spent!

Comedy — How Am I Supposed To Do This with Music?

So I was thinking the other day. I know that’s a bad habit. But I do it anyway. Comedy

The thing is, I find myself thinking more and more all the time about this and thinking about that but it doesn’t stop me or slow me down at all.

You’d think I’d be done by now. But No-o-o-o-o-o!!!

I keep doing it all the time. Sometimes I don’t even notice I’m doing it. It just happens. Without my knowledge.

Thinking that is.

Thinking about things I’ve already thought about and things that I think I should think about in case something I was just thinking about should happen to come true. It’s ridiculous really and there appears to be no end in sight. None.

So I came up with a possible solution. Something I think might work (damn it I did it again). I don’t know if it will work or not.

Anyway, here it is. I think I should think about the things I want to think about and nothing else. Comedy works. Music is fun. Sports are a little annoying but whatever.

What do you think?

(Crap!) Now I’m going to think about your thoughts which could be worse than being stuck on my own.

Well, have at it.

As you long as you don’t respond with “Let me think about it”.

We’ve got enough of that going on around here.

Need some custom written comedy and music for your next corporate event? Give me a call. I will think about it. But when I’m done, I’ll have some excellent live music and comedy all ready for you that will improve employee production, increase their profit potential and deliver your message and mission statement faster, more efficiently and completely legally.

Music and comedy. The most fun you can have with your mouth in public!

I Can’t Explain How A Dueling Piano Music Show Works So Well. Can You?

I can’t explain it. I know what we did. I know what we do. I know what the ‘formula’ is although it is extremely difficult to explain in words how well live music entertainment at your corporate event truly works.

But because i am a professional I’ll try anyway …

We were contracted to perform at a corporate event last Saturday night. Piano Music Entertainment at this kind of corporate event is very difficult to do successfully. We had well 1000 people. About 200 of those folks were children.

That’s right. You heard me.

Kids.

Kids aged 12 and under.

Within the first 5 minutes we had them all onstage jumping in. And jumping up and down and screaming and banging on the piano with sticky fingers and super huge grins on their faces.

We were distracted from our script. We were torn away from our opening salvo, the dueling piano music show that is guaranteed to get people involved and comfortable with the dueling piano music show format — the formula that guarantees fun — every time.

So what did we do? Did we panic? Did we drop our lunch buckets and run home? Did we complain about our Green Room and the lack of M&Ms?

We had a room full of people who wanted to be entertained with music and laughs and we didn’t have a chance because of all these kids … Or did we?

Because a dueling piano music show is so versatile, We had a hope. We had a chance. We had a prayer. And it wasn’t a Hail Mary like at the end of a college football game.

No. What we did was we broke into some Elvis. That’s right. You heard me. Elvis The Pelvis Presley. The King is Alive and he had entered the building. Universally appealing Elvis. We got the kids on stage and got them to start acting like ‘The King’.

“ThangYooVaryMush!”

Granted, the majority of kids don’t know who Elvis is (or was) But kids are little monkeys. They will mimic endlessly. So I taught them some Elvis moves and we were off to the races.

We got a good solid hour and a half of games going with the kids. Games of trust. Games of imagination. They loved every minute of it and the parents loved it because not only did we give the parents a break so they could visit with their friends and co-workers, we wore those little ones out. By the time we were done with them, they were ready beddy bye and Mom and Dad were off the hook.

Yet another successful corporate event entertainment package that we did not foresee when we were hired.

Versatility. Music. Laughs and above all … great memories that will last a lifetime. A dueling piano music show is the best way to go. Try it. You’ll see what everyone is talking about.

Enjoying another great corporate event entertainment

We are in San Francisco for a dueling pianos show at another great corporate event entertainment for a fantastic client. We’ve been here all week and were just finishing up.

It was a trade show for a display company. We performed on the convention floor and then later appeared at their client appreciation night.

Then we got away for some R&R afterwards. I love traveling all over the USA. corporate_entertainers1
